Caring For The iPad Screen

The iPad’s screen is made out of glass but it has a special oleophobic coating in order to protect it from fingerprints. Officially, it means that it’s oil resistant. It is important to take good care of the screen to get the most out of the coating. Here are some ways to protect your iPad screen.
  • Don’t drop it on hard surfaces. It is glass and it can break.
  • Clean the screen with a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth. Clean your screen daily in order to make sure the lingering smudges don’t wear on the coating.
  • Do not clean it with window cleaners, glass cleaners, aerosol sprays, abrasives, or alcohol

How to Search on an iPad

You can search and find anything stored on your iPad like applications using Spotlight. Here is how to search files on iPad using Spotlight.
  1. On the home screen, press the Home button or flick right to get to the Spotlight page.
  2. Now start typing what you want to search on the iPad and results starts showing as you type.
  3. If you want to remove the on screen keyboard and view the results completely, then tap on Search.
  4. Now you could tap on the file name for opening it or press the Home button again to quit Spotlight and go back to the home screen.
That’s it! This is how to search on iPad.

Three Great iPad Tips

1. Access all running apps
Double-clicking the Home button shows you all the apps that are running on your iPad in a bar along the bottom of the screen. To switch to a running app just tap on it here in this bar. Just swipe the screen downwards to remove this bar.

2. Quick volume mute
A good tip for quickly muting your iPad is to press and hold the Volume-down button.

3. Take an iPad screenshot
You can take a screenshot on your iPad by pressing Home and then the Sleep/Wake button. The screen will flash and you'll hear a click, indicating that a photo has been taken. Your screen shots are saved automatically in your Photos gallery. Here, you can view or email them as you see fit.
