David Heinen

There is a famous saying that goes, “In an eggs and ham breakfast, the chicken is involved, but the pig is committed.” David Heinen is the ham in our Greendale High School breakfast. He is committed to excellence in his academics, his activities, and his school. For his unparalleled commitment to all things GHS, David has been selected as our Senior of the Week. David excels academically in a course load that includes five AP classes, and his voice is always a valuable piece when it comes to decisions that affect the student body. He is involved on a leadership level in a number of activities, including National Honor Society and the state champion marching band. Based on his commitment to excellence, it safe to say that David will continue to accomplish great things in the coming years. Thank you for all you’ve done for our Greendale High School community, David, and all the best in your future endeavors!

At times, when I fumble verbally, he will contribute in a respectful manner and rephrase my statements very eloquently; I admire and appreciate this skill. David has limitless potential!” – Ms. Rios

“David is inquisitive, smart, and truly interested in learning. His mind is always asking the ‘how does it work’ and ‘why does it work’ types of questions and sharing his passion for ideas with others. He's got a bright future ahead of him!” – Ms. Hulett

“David Heinen is one of the most personable, driven students I have known in the last few years. He holds high expectations and constantly tries to improve himself as a student and a person.
