Joey Unrein

Energy abounding! A sense of humor few can resist! A kind hearted person who would do anything for anyone. Joey Unrein shows his Panther PRIDE every day in and out of class. He is part of the Mac Pac - helping GMS and technology work symbiotically. His energy keeps the lives of his Discovery teammates and those of his soccer buddies ever entertaining. Keep it up, Joey!!

Emma Hintz

Emma is an outstanding student and not just because she happens to be very smart. She is a person who always challenges herself to do her best, never settling for good enough. No one displays more perseverance and diligence in her day to day work than Emma. Emma has been very involved in a variety of activities at GMS, such as study club, peer tutoring, track, and volleyball as well as helping out in the community. She has helped at a nursing home, shoveled snow in the neighborhood, and is a much sought after babysitter. Emma is a caring and concerned person, not at all afraid to speak up and back up her words with action. She cares about her fellow students but her caring extends beyond our school walls to the world in general. She treats her classmates and teachers with tremendous respect, as well as respecting herself. We have a poster in class that states “Do the right thing even if you are standing alone”. That saying on the poster simply states what Emma has the courage and integrity to do and is a very worthy goal for all of us.

Maria Heinen

The Team Adventure Panther Award winner for November is Maria Heinen. We are very proud to have Maria on our team. She always seems to be in a good mood and you can tell by the way she flashes her smile. Her positive personality is apparent the minute she enters GMS as she says her "good mornings" to everyone she sees. She chooses to separate herself from negativity. She is a very diligent student who asks questions when she needs clarification and she is willing to then share her knowledge with classmates in need of assistance. Maria is very respectful toward her teachers and peers and these qualities are contagious. She has a big heart, full of compassion, and she would go the extra mile for anyone. Finally, she never forgets to say "good bye" at the end of the day, which leaves us with one more reminder of what a special person she is. Congratulations Maria!

Bella Robinson

Team Integrity is excited to nominate Bella Robinson for this month’s PRIDE award. Bella is a dedicated student who excels in all classes. While Bella displays all aspects of PRIDE, she excels in showing empathy and respect for those around her. She offers to assist others in group work, while modeling positive behavior inside and outside the classroom. Bella strives to help out in encore classes if she notices someone in class does not understand the directions for the activity. Team Integrity is looking for Bella to continue to develop her leadership skills this year. Keep up the great work Bella.

Alyssa Rinelli

The Northstar team would like to congratulate Alyssa Rinelli for winning this month's Panther Award. It is easy to observe Alyssa's PRIDE traits whenever anyone is in her presence. Alyssa is very kind, extremely responsible and highly motivated with everything she does. She is always there to help another person in need and she always has a smile on her face. In addition, her positive leadership and the sharing of creative ideas are wonderful in enhancing the classroom environment. GMS is very fortunate to have a student with such great character!
