Third graders work on writer's workshop projects.
Good Afternoon College Park Families,
We are looking forward to our Holidays Around the World celebration this evening. Families may choose up to four crafts, representing countries around the world, to complete between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Following crafts, we will have the opportunity to see dance performances from the Ukraine, Greece and Ireland.
Be sure to bring a sample of your favorite holiday treats to share! Treats may be dropped off in the cafeteria prior to the craft making.
Thanks to the members of our Parent Action Team, Mrs. Vaile, Mr. Elnatour, Mrs. Delgadillo, Mrs. Simmons, Mrs. Sullivan, Mrs. Novakovich, Senorita Koplitz, and Mrs. Watson. We truly appreciate all of the work our art teacher, Ms. Lowe, put into coordinating our crafts. Our PTO’s generosity in their financial support is appreciated, as is the work of our Student Council Respect Committee members.
Greendale Schools needs your help. We’ve nearly accomplished all of our goals and now it's time for a more comprehensive Strategic Plan. The world landscape has changed since 2008 and we need a plan that reflects the current realities. Please join us in a two-day conversation with Gary Marx, author of "Future-Focused Leadership," and help make a difference in Greendale Schools.
The conversation begins on Friday, January 6 from 7:00 to 8:45 p.m. and continues on Saturday, January 7 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The event will take place at the Greendale High School Library. For more information, please call 414-423-2700.
Looking for the Perfect Cookie Recipe?
Our Student Council is selling The Taste of Home, Best Cookie Recipe cookbook. The recipes were taste tested right here in Greendale! The books are $10 each. They will be available at our Holidays Around the World Event and December Concert or may be purchased in the school office. The students thank you for supporting their work.
The College Park Holiday Concert is this Monday, December 12 at 6:00 p.m. The event will again be held in the Greendale High School auditorium. The evening will end with a finale including all students. Students will then be dismissed to rooms and should be picked up by parents in the assigned rooms for safety reasons. Students may dress in festive holiday attire or clothing representing their cultural background.
Students should arrive at 5:45 p.m. and report to the following areas:
K5 (all) Library
Gr. 1 (all) Library
