Greendale Schools | Greendale Assistance Program
The Greendale Assistance Program (GAP) is designed to promote a positive and healthy environment for our youth through the efforts of school, family and a community working together.

The Problem
Many issues challenge our youth. Surveys indicate that alcohol, tobacco, and drug use along with other lifestyle choices pose a serious threat to the health and well-being of our children.

Ways GAP Supports Our Youth
Prevention: Creates a positive school climate, supports education in the classroom, and facilitates student opportunities to promote healthy decision-making
Education: Provides information through a variety of formats to enhance healthy choices. Supports teachers by providing education on current trends and prevention techniques.
Intervention: Offers assistance, referrals and guidance to students and families
Family and Community: Fosters communication and education of parents and community in support of youth.
Alternate Activities: Provides and supports extra-curricular opportunities and activities for youth in a health environment.
