Inspiration Award Winners Named by the Education Foundation of Greendale

The Education Foundation of Greendale has announced that Layton State Bank and Dave Wilmoth have been named the organization’s 2008 Inspiration Award Winners and will be honored at the 4th annual Night of the Arts fundraiser on Friday, May 30, 2008. Layton State Bank, located in Greendale since 1947, is a strong community partner that has been instrumental in organizing the Night of the Arts events by providing both financial support and dedicated volunteers. Dave Wilmoth, one of the founders of the Education Foundation of Greendale, helped to lay the groundwork for the organization’s success with his vision and expertise. “Due to the support and commitment of Dave Wilmoth and Layton State Bank, we are able to continue to provide enrichment programs for the students in the Greendale School District,” said Deirdre Dixon, President of the Education Foundation of Greendale.

The Night of the Arts celebration will be held at The Polish Center of Wisconsin, 6971 South 68th Street, Franklin and will highlight the creative achievements of Greendale students, alumni and residents. The gala will begin at 6:30 p.m. with hors d’oeuvres, entertainment and a cash bar. It will feature performances by student music and drama ensembles, as well as showcase a student, alumni and resident art exhibition. In addition, a silent auction, raffle and art sale will be held.
Tickets are $25 and are available at Greendale High School, Greendale Park and Recreation Office, and on Broad Street in Greendale at the Reiman Publications Visitor Center and Layton State Bank.

In 1998, friends and supporters of the Greendale School District established the Education Foundation of Greendale, Inc. School Census to be Conducted in Greendale

The Greendale School District announced today that it will mail the annual school census form in mid-April to village residents. The Board of Education conducts the annual school census as required by state law. The school district uses the information to estimate future enrollment in Greendale schools. Census information also helps to identify children who may be eligible to receive special services and other support from the school district. It is important that all residents provide census information even though there may be no school-age children in the household.

All forms should be returned by May 15, 2008.

Please contact Mary Pat Siewert, Director of Pupil Services for the Greendale School District, at (414) 423-2850 for additional information.
