About:  I was elected to the Greendale School Board in April 2009. Previously, I served on the School District Citizen’s Budget Committee and multiple Strategic Plan Action Teams. I have been involved with the PTOs at College Park and the Middle School, having served in leadership roles with both organizations.
 
I have a Bachelors Degree, in Accounting and French, from Marquette University. I have twenty years experience working at Manpower’s headquarters in various accounting, internal audit, and financial operations roles.
 
My wife, Lynn, and I have lived in Greendale since 1999. Our four children attend Greendale schools.

About: Tom Slota has been a resident of Greendale since 1978 and has been a School Board Member for the past 26 years.

Dr. Slota has two daughters who completed their public school education in Greendale. One of his daughters is a physical therapist and the other is a civil engineer. He has a third daughter who is about to enter Greendale High School as a freshman for the 2012-13 school term.

About: I have served on the Greendale School Board since November 2005 and currently hold the position of Treasurer. In addition to the School District Citizen Budget Committee and the Highland View PTO, I have served on various committees and work groups. I have volunteered in the schools working with students through the Reading is Fundamental Program and Junior Great Books.

I have a Bachelor and Master's Degrees and a Certificate in Management from Marquette University. For nearly 25 years, I worked for Milwaukee County's Department of Administrative Services Fiscal and Strategic Services Division in Budgeting and Strategic Planning.

My husband, Fred Fuller, was a musician with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra for 32 years. We have two children, one in 8th grade at Greendale Middle School and one in 12th grade at Greendale High School. Greendale has been our home for 18 years.

About: Vicki was elected to the Greendale Board of Education in April 1998 and has served as clerk, president and vice president. Current and past committee appointments include Policy, Strategic Planning, Negotiations, CESA 1 Delegate and WASB Delegate. Vicki has presented at the national and state level on the topics of community engagement, staff performance evaluation, pay for learning, board of education self evaluation, communication for leadership and the role of school boards in public education.

A board member of the Education Foundation of Greendale and the Wisconsin School Public Relations Association (WSPRA), Vicki is also the Director for Region 11 of the Wisconsin Association of School Boards (WASB) and the 2009 WASB President. Vicki was elected to the 2010 National School Boards Association (NSBA) Nominating Committee.

A community resident since 1986, Vicki is a widow with five children: Casey 2000 GHS graduate, 2005 UW-Waukesha and 2009 UW-Milwaukee graduate; Patrick 2002 GHS graduate, UW-Madison student and Head Chef of the Tornado Room; Brenna 2006 GHS graduate, UW-Eau Claire student majoring in Elementary/Middle Education and Spanish Teaching; Molly GHS junior; Meghan (twin sister) GHS junior.

Vicki received BSN and MSN nursing degrees from Marquette University and has 20 plus years experience in nursing and hospital administration. Background also includes small retail management. She is employed as a Sales Consultant by Cornerstone Development of S.E. WI., LLC, a builder of ranch-style condominium homes and communities.

About: Melanie was appointed to the School Board in June of 2012. She’s been involved in Canterbury’s PWC as a 4-year Treasurer; she’s served on the Facilities Committee, the Greendale Panther Athletic Booster Club, the Parent Advisory Group and most recently on the PCA, Partners in Community Action. She’s been a co-creator of three different scholarships in the Greendale School District and she’s a consistent volunteer in numerous capacities.

A community resident since 1990, Melanie and her husband, Tom, have three children. Each child has been the beneficiary of a Greendale education. Danielle recently graduated from UW-Madison and is pursuing her graduate work in School Counseling at the University of San Diego. Mara is a 2012 graduate and will begin her undergraduate work at UW-Madison this fall. Ryan will be starting his sophomore year at GHS.

Melanie has been employed at Oak Creek High School as a School Counselor for over twenty years and holds an undergraduate degree in Education from UW-Madison and an MS in Educational Psychology from UW-Milwaukee. Prior to her experience in education, she was employed as a Manager for Procter and Gamble and a Sales Representative for Gallo wine.
