October 1, 2014
Greendale, WI -- Two Greendale High School (GHS) students have earned recognition from the 2014 National Merit Scholarship Program. GHS principal Steve Lodes announced that the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) has named seniors Matthew Bemis and Roman Kosarzycki as Commended Students.
Both have received a letter of commendation from the school and NMSC, the organization managing this national program, which recognizes scholastically talented seniors.
Bemis and Kosarzycki are among the more than 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation who are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise. Although they will not continue in the 2015 competition for National Merit Scholarships, Commended Students placed among the top five percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2015 competition by taking the 2013 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT).
