School's Out: Kickoff to a Safe Summer CANCELED 6/11/2026

A message from the School's Out Committee:

If you've been watching the weather, you see that at the moment it looks like it'll be a rough time this afternoon and evening.

As an outdoor event, focused on having a safe summer, we're obviously prioritizing participant safety, and that means we had to make the sad decision to cancel the event tonight. We're brainstorming ways to bring the event back some time this summer, and hope we'll still be able to showcase all the fun, safe, and enriching opportunities our community has to offer!

For those of you willing to brave the weather, a few kids activities will still be available in the community room downstairs in the Greendale Library between 3:00-7:00PM.

Sincerely,

The School's Out: Kickoff to a Safe Summer Organizing Committee

Important End-of-Year Reminder: Locker Clean-Out!

As we approach the end of the school year, we need your help ensuring a smooth transition into summer. Please remind your student(s) to completely clean out their locker/cubby and bring all personal belongings home.

What to bring home: Personal books, binders, gym clothes, winter coats, and any leftover supplies.

What to leave behind: Trash, recycling, and anything belonging strictly to the school.

We highly recommend sending your student to school with a large reusable tote bag or an extra backpack next week to help them haul everything home easily.

Any items left in lockers after Friday, June 12, will be donated or discarded so our custodial staff can deep-clean the hallways over the summer. Thank you for your cooperation and support in keeping our school clean!

Move over video games! There’s a new obsession taking over the College Park 4th graders, and it’s a retro classic. Armed with determination, spatial reasoning, and an impressive amount of patience, these nine- and ten-year-olds are officially taking on the Rubik’s Cube. What starts as a chaotic scramble of plastic and color quickly becomes a lesson in grit. Watch closely and you’ll see fingers flying, foreheads creasing, and students trading algorithms like recess secrets. Whether they are mastering the first layer or aiming for a sub-one-minute solve, these young cubers are proving that no puzzle is too complex when you refuse to back down. Twist by twist, turn by turn, they aren't just solving a cube, they’re building serious brainpower!

College Park School's 5th graders received a powerful lesson in character and patriotism during a special visit from our local VFW Veterans. The veterans spoke with students about the importance of striving for excellence, inspiring to be your best, and treating both themselves and others with deep respect. The honored guests shared the rich history of the American flag. The 5th graders watched a live demonstration on how to properly fold and care for the flag, gaining a newfound appreciation for what it symbolizes. The Vets also explained the difference between Patriotism and Americanism. The students learned that Patriotism is the emotional heartbeat of a nation. It is the deep love, loyalty, and devotion a person feels toward their homeland. Americanism is not just about loving the country; it is about believing in and upholding the foundational ideals that make America what it is: liberty, equality, democracy, individual rights, and the rule of law. Thanks to the VFW Veterans for investing their time and wisdom for this special visit. #LearnGrowEngageGreendale #CultivatingExcellence

Tomorrow is Beach Day at College Park!

Ditch the winter blues and get ready for some fun in the sun! Tomorrow, students and staff are encouraged to dress in their favorite beach-themed attire—think Hawaiian shirts, sun hats, and bright colors. (Just remember to keep outfits school-appropriate and leave the swimsuits at home!) Let’s make it a great day!

College Park's 4th graders had a great field trip to JA BizTown! After weeks of learning about business expenses, civic duties, and the flow of the economy, these students finally stepped into the mini-city to put their knowledge into practice. It was a day filled with high-stakes decisions, bustling storefronts, and a whole lot of "grown-up" responsibility. Beyond the fun of wearing a badge or "buying" a snack, students walked away with a deeper understanding of financial literacy and teamwork. They saw firsthand how their individual jobs contributed to the success of the entire city. #LearnGrowEngageGreendale #CultivatingExcellence

The 4th Grade School Store is Opening Tuesday, May 26!

The 4th graders of the 2025-2026 school year will carry on a tradition many students look forward to: The School Store! The 4th Grade Dollar Store, organized and run by fourth graders, will be open from Tuesday, May 26, 2026 - Monday, June 1, 2026. Students will be allowed to shop from 8:45-9:00 each day after they check in with their teachers for attendance. In years past, and especially for younger students, it has been helpful to send an envelope containing a list of desired items and the money required for purchase of those items. Here is a listing of all items that will be sold.

All proceeds from the school store travel with the fourth grade class to support their 5th grade completion celebration along with other activities they may pursue. Your patronage and support is appreciated!

On May 5, our three grade schools enjoyed unforgettable all-school field trips to Franklin Field! All our elementary students came together to spent a beautiful, sunny morning cheering on the Milwaukee Panthers for their annual School Day game. Before the first pitch, our students got to enjoy the interactive TMJ4 Weather Show, and once the game started, the energy in the stands was absolutely electric. The Panthers didn't disappoint, rallying to a thrilling 6-4 victory over Valparaiso! Our students represented Greendale Schools wonderfully with their great behavior and loud cheers. A huge thank you to all of our staff and the Milwaukee Panthers staff for making this massive logistics puzzle a safe, smooth, and incredibly fun day for everyone!
