Thank You, Thank You College Park PTO and Families!

A huge Thank You to our amazing PTO for making Staff Appreciation Week feel so special!

We are truly spoiled and so grateful for your thoughtfulness. From the delicious breakfast and catered lunch to the fun "dirty sodas" and the ultimate snack and candy bar, you kept us fueled and smiling all week long.

The gift cards were such a generous surprise, but the real gift is having such a supportive community behind us. We feel incredibly lucky to work with all of you!

With gratitude,
Our College Park Staff

In early spring, our 2nd-grade explorers were joined by a real-life Entomologist, Martin Ventura, for a hands-on journey into the incredible world of insects. Our guest expert helped them peek into the "secret lives" of bugs. Students were so engaged and loved seeing the insects up close and finding out why bees, ants, and even "scary spiders" are so important for our planet. Thank you Mr. Ventura for such a great time as the second graders learned to think, observe and explore the insect life just like scientists!

The "eWallet" Advantage
Say goodbye to sending your child to school with loose change or crumpled bills. Scholastic's eWallet is a safe, digital payment account that allows you to:

Pre-load funds online so students can shop cash-free.
Share the link with grandparents or friends who want to contribute to your child's reading fund.
Donate leftover "pocket change" to the school's library to help provide books for all students.

Bingo Night is a FREE event - join us for bingo, popcorn, prizes, and an opportunity to shop at the Book Fair. Bingo night is right around corner on Friday, May 1 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. Remember, the Book Fair will be open for shopping this night as well.

Events like these are successful because of the support from you! If you are able to set-up, clean-up or serve popcorn and water this night, please click here to sign-up! We are grateful for any help you can give.

See you soon for a fun night at College Park!

A huge congratulations to the students receiving the Cooperation Award here at College Park! Success isn't just about individual achievement; it’s about how we lift each other up. Whether it was stepping in to help a classmate grasp a tough concept, mediating a group project with grace, or simply being the "glue" that keeps our community tight, you’ve shown us what true teamwork looks like. This award helps us understand that we go further when we go together. Thank you for making College Park a kinder, more collaborative place to learn. Keep building those bridges!

Keep Our Pathways Safe: Walk Your Wheels!
To ensure the safety of everyone here at College Park, please remember that motorized scooters, e-bikes, motorized mini-bikes and skateboards and bikes must be walked once you enter school grounds. While these are great ways to get to school, walkways and our parking lot gets crowded very quickly in the morning and after school. Keeping your wheels on the ground (and your feet off the deck) helps prevent accidental collisions and keeps our shared spaces safe for all students, staff, and visitors. Also, these motorized scooters, E bikes, motorized mini-bikes and skateboards and bikes are NOT ALLOWED to be driven in our parking lot, circle drive or playground until after 6:00 p.m. due to safety reasons.

The Golden Rule: If you’re on school grounds, dismount and walk. Use the designated racks to secure your ride, and let’s keep our school a "collision-free" zone!

Our Kindergarteners showcased and celebrated their love of Mo Willem's storybook character, The Pigeon. After studying and learning about The Pigeon's wants and needs, big feelings, and problem-solving strategies, these young learners made connections to our Character Strong work! The students created beautiful artwork and wrote Pigeon-inspired stories. Caring adults and staff were invited to share in celebrating this hard work. Activities had the students sharing their Pigeon work, teaching caring adults how to draw The Pigeon, snuggling up to read books together, taking pictures in The Pigeon photo booth, and enjoying a Pigeon-approved snack.
