Perseverance Winners for the Month of February 2026.

DEADLINE EXTENDED TO FEB. 12! Get in on 2026 Black History Month Essay & Art Contest

To recognize Black History Month, Greendale students are invited to explore the profound impact of Black scientists, researchers, and inventors who have shaped American history through their brilliance and perseverance. This year’s contest highlights the contributions of "Black thinkers" whose innovations—from the stars above to the toys in our backyards—have solved global problems and inspired generations. Students are asked to respond to the prompts shared on this document and create an original essay or artwork reflecting on what the words of these individuals mean to them personally or how they are inspired by this individual’s work or words. Submissions are now due on February 12, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. to the school office. Awards will be presented at the Black History Month Community Connections celebration on Thursday, February 19, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at Highland View.

College Park Blood Drive to Help Our Community
Did you know that only about 3% of age-eligible people donate blood yearly? College Park is hosting an American Red Cross Blood Drive to help bridge the gap in our local blood supply. We are looking for 40 donors to help us reach our school goal!

All students that recruit a blood donor will receive a medium size blood drop plush pillow or a pair of table-top bags/cornhole game. Also this year, the classroom that gets the most donors will receive a Pizza Party with Mr. Brock!

When: Friday, February 27 , 2:00-6:00 p.m.
Goal: 40 Pints
CLICK HERE to schedule an appointment.

Show your support for patients in need this winter. You’ll get a $20 e-gift card to a merchant of your choice from the Red Cross when you come to give blood January 26-February 28.

We Need Your Help!
We are also looking for some volunteers to help man the Blood Drive check-in tables. If you have a 3rd, 4th or 5th grade student, they are also welcome to join you and help. Please click here to sign up!
