“There are so many reasons to celebrate in the data shared in the 2024-2025 Wisconsin school report cards!” said Dr. Kim Amidzich, Superintendent of Greendale Schools. “Greendale students are achieving at high levels and they are growing in their learning and understanding of the standards. Our exceptional teachers and staff are working at their highest level to ensure all learners in our schools are learning, growing and engaging in their education.”

Some noteworthy data points reflected in the State Report Cards include:

  • Greendale students outperform their peers in growth in every demographic group.

  • Greendale is closing achievement gaps in various demographic groups in every school.

  • Greendale students' achievement in English Language Arts and Math on state assessments is higher than the scores received prior to the pandemic.

  • Greendale Schools students are in the Top 12.9 percent for growth when compared to other districts in Wisconsin on the state reports cards.

“We continue to see great gains in all of our schools. We are continuing to implement new processes and curricular supports in all schools to challenge students to achieve at higher levels,” Dr. Amidzich said.  “Our focus on student data, flex and high impact instructional strategies are impacting our students’ scores in every grade level.”

All Greendale Schools’ students are empowered to learn, grow and engage as part of a global community. The district provides students with access to rigorous, standards-based, excellence-focused educational programs. This report card is one of multiple measures used to review student achievement. Other measures are shared on the district website and in the annual Report to the Community.

Produced annually as required by Wisconsin State Statute 115.385: School and School District Accountability Report, the report cards evaluate schools and districts across four priority areas: Achievement, Growth, Target Group Outcomes, and On-Track to Graduation. Each school or district receives an overall accountability score, which places it into one of five rating categories: Significantly Exceeds Expectations (five stars), Exceeds Expectations (four stars), Meets Expectations (three stars), Meets Few Expectations (two stars), and Fails to Meet Expectations (one star).

Achievement and Growth measures are weighted according to each district or school’s percentage of economically disadvantaged students, per state law. Each report card uses multiple years of data with recent years weighted more heavily.

Over the summer of 2025, a group of 26 education leaders convened in a public meeting to review data and discuss updates to the performance benchmarks used for determining overall accountability ratings. The group’s recommendations were adopted by the state superintendent, following a 25-1 vote in support. Because of these updates, overall accountability scores for 2024-25 cannot be directly compared to prior years, though the underlying data remain comparable. These report cards establish a new baseline for measuring school and district performance. Additional information about the report card standard setting is available on the DPI’s website.
