I hope this message finds you well and enjoying a little blast of winter cold here in Wisconsin. A reminder to all that we will be walking to the high school tomorrow morning for an assembly. The first group will start their walk at 8:45 am, and we should all be in our seats by 9:15 am. We will be there until 10:15 am, and then take our return walk to the middle school. Please have your student dress for the weather! Many middle school students do not wear hats, gloves, and sometimes even coats during the winter months. On days like tomorrow, it will be important that they do.
We are giving many reminders to students that they should follow the expectations of the adults and walk safely to GHS. A firm reminder to all is to keep the snow on the ground and keep our hands to ourselves. Please remind your child of these expectations as well.
Thank you for your support in this!
We have our Cafe Zupas fundraiser tonight from 4:00-9:00 pm. Be sure to get to Cafe Zupas and tell them Greendale Middle School sent you. Thank you!

Principal, Greendale Middle School

Our first Student Activity Night of the year will be held tomorrow (Wednesday, November 19), from 3:30-5:00pm at GMS. All GMS students are invited to attend. Our GMS National Junior Honor Society is sponsoring this specific Student Activity Night and will be coordinating volunteers for it.
Students who are interested in attending must print off and bring a signed Permission Slip, along with the $5 fee, to Activity Night. Permission slips were handed out by students' Homebase teachers, as well. Please note the following:
Only current GMS students may attend this.
When school is dismissed at 3:10pm tomorrow, all students who are attending Student Activity Night should either:
Leave school and come back by 3:30pm OR
Report to the MPR and stay there until it begins. We will collect money and forms from them at this time.
Once students are in the building, they must stay for the entire event until 5:00pm. If they need to leave early, a parent/guardian must come into the building to pick them up.
Snacks and beverages will be available for purchase.
This Student Activity Night will be from 3:30-5:00pm, but future ones will be from 5:00pm-7:00pm.
Also, November 19th is our fundraiser with Dia Y Noche. Help support Greendale Middle School while enjoying delicious food! Dia Y Noche, a locally owned restaurant right here in Greendale, will be hosting our fundraiser all day. Simply dine in or order takeout and mention (or write on your receipt) that you’re there for Greendale Middle School. A portion of the proceeds will come back to support our students and programs.
We are excited to see you tomorrow!

Sixth graders became scientists "out in the field" during the Life Science field trip this week. Students gathered both qualitative and quantitative observations using as many of their senses as possible. Then the students made inferences from these observations based on their experiences. It was a great blend of learning and fun for all.

Greendale High School's award-winning Theatre Department is thrilled to present the hilarious comedy, THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG (High School Edition), Thursday, November 6, Friday, November 7, and Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. each night.
This silly farce is still running on Broadway and has audiences rolling in the aisles. As a drama troupe prepares for their opening night of their murder mystery, they are almost (?) ready to perform and with a very hardworking cast and crew, they do their best to make it through their opening night performance. But, well, not everything goes to plan... so join GHS Theatre to see how it turns out!
THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG is suitable for the entire family! Running time 1 hour 45 minutes including an intermission. Tickets are $9 for adults and $6 for all students and all tickets are general admission and available at the door.
