Coming to conferences tonight? Have a few extra pairs of socks? College Park students have been working with the 4th grade team to collect new socks for those in need. The goal is to collect 700 pairs of socks by the end of October and the students have about 250 pairs left to collect. If you’re able, bring a pair or two tonight to put in the box outside your child’s classroom. Thank you!

Tomorrow afternoon around 1:30 pm, grades 1st - 5th will be walking over to the Greendale High School stadium to watch the GHS Marching Band perform. Please be sure that your student(s) are dressed for the weather and wear comfortable shoes for walking.
Thank you!

Hi Everyone!
Feel free to do the walk any way you want to, but we are going to try to meet as a College Park group before the Walk. If you want to walk with other College Park families, please meet on the sidewalk near the High School gym doors. I will see you on Sunday!
~Mr. Brock

Greendale High School's award-winning Theatre Department is thrilled to present the hilarious comedy, THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG (High School Edition), Thursday, November 6, Friday, November 7, and Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. each night.
This silly farce is still running on Broadway and has audiences rolling in the aisles. As a drama troupe prepares for their opening night of their murder mystery, they are almost (?) ready to perform and with a very hardworking cast and crew, they do their best to make it through their opening night performance. But, well, not everything goes to plan... so join GHS Theatre to see how it turns out!
THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG is suitable for the entire family! Running time 1 hour 45 minutes including an intermission. Tickets are $9 for adults and $6 for all students and all tickets are general admission and available at the door.

Just a little reminder that this Friday, October 17, is College Park's Picture Retake Day. Pictures will be taken the morning starting at 9:00 a.m. If you want your student's picture retaken, please contact our our school office by emailing cheryl.schwarzkopf@greendaleschools.or or julie.morrell@greendaleschools.org or your student's teacher so that we are aware of the retake. Thank you!
Please review the following information from VIP Photography.
View your School Portraits, and select your yearbook/class picture before Retake Day! The final deadline is two weeks after retake day; if you do not pick an image VIP will choose a yearbook image for you. To view your student’s school portraits click here (student ID number may be required).
Retake pictures will be taken on October 17th. This is for students who have not yet taken a Yearbook Portrait this year, or for students who have reported a need for a new picture. Retake photos will be added to your online image gallery about a week after photo day.
If you have any questions, please email support@vipis.com

Math learning exists in many forms! College Park 4th grade students recently learned about mass and weight. They found combinations of objects in the classroom that weighed exactly 1 pound and 1 kilogram. Students in 2nd grade are working on reading, writing, modeling, and comparing numbers up to 3-digit numbers. They estimated how many beans were in a bucket, then worked cooperatively to count all 1,000+ beans in under 8 minutes! Then, they had to discuss strategies they could use to add together five three-digit sums to get to the total.

He has a special dinner dielivery at 7:30 tonight.
I wonder how he is going to get his food up to the roof???
Find out tonight at 7:30!

Good Afternoon CP Families,
Look whose ready to spend the night on the roof! Mr. Brock will be sleeping on the roof tonight because of the overwhelming participation of our families and friends who signed up for the Greendale Walk/Run on October 19.
Please come and join us at PTO Fall Festival tonight from 6pm to 7:30pm and you'll be able to see Mr. Brock up on the roof sometime during the evening. This will be a fun-filled evening of music, dancing, hanging out with friends, games and activities! This is a fun, FREE event that all students look forward to so we sure hope you can make it.
All students MUST be accompanied by an adult (Parent/Guardian). No drop-offs please. Hope to see you all there!

The 4th graders are once again leading SOCKTOBER. Over the last several years, generous donations from all grade levels have allowed College Park Students to donate close to 3,000 pairs of socks to people in need.
Beginning Monday, the 4th graders will be accepting donations in order to reach a goal of 700 pairs of socks by the end of October. Please consider donating if you are able!
October is also Down Syndrome Awareness Month. Socks are associated with Down syndrome because microscopic views of chromosomes resemble socks! We will also organize a ROCK YOUR SOCKS DAY at the conclusion of the month where students can be encouraged to wear mismatched or very colorful socks. Wearing mismatched socks is sometimes used as a way to support and spread awareness about Down syndrome as people with Down Syndrome have an extra chromosome.
Thanks for considering as we work to make a difference by giving and learning about each other!

Join us tonight for Greendale School's Community Connections Event in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month here at College Park from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. This event will feature Piñatas, traditional cookies and other sweet treats, games, music, art, and more. SEAT (the Special Ed Advisory Team) is sponsoring a sensory-friendly space to accommodate all learners' needs.
Food trucks will be on-site selling food items. Please bring CASH for vendor purchases. Join us for a night of FREE FAMILY FUN!
Hope to see you there!
