Our Lego League team “Dig it Up Master Minds” proudly represented College Park on Saturday, November 22 in the FLL Competition. They placed 9th out of 27 teams. They competed with middle schoolers from around Milwaukee including our own Greendale Middle School and the Canterbury Elementary School team. A BIG Thank you to Mrs. Kothapalli and Mr. Gigot for coaching our team along with the many other volunteers that helped us compete!

Hello College Park Families,

We are just over two weeks away from our Holiday Market and we are looking forward to a wonderful experience for our students. In order to make the market a success we will need a variety of volunteers spread over a couple of days. Please feel free to snag as many open slots as you would like to. To sign up to volunteer, please click here. If all of them are filled and you wish to attend, please send a message to Jamie Peters (jahe85@gmail.com) and we will do our best to make it work. We have also attached the schedule of shopping as it might be easier to visualize in that format.

In the meantime, please take a moment to view our shop and make your wish lists.

Thank you to all volunteers, we couldn't do it without you!

Fourth grade students visited school classrooms and common spaces at College Park recently seeking inspiration for their poems, "I Hear College Park Signing." The students recently read the poem "I Hear America Singing" in CKLA. The walk through their school allowed them to hear and observe the sounds at their school as they prepared for their own poetry writing.

Our Greendale Junior Panther Cheer Teams absolutely brought the spirit and skill this past weekend, soaring to victory at the Phoenix Invite at Menomonee Falls High School.

We are incredibly proud to announce that the GJP Elementary Traditional team took 1st place and our GJP Elementary team took 2nd place in their divisions.

A massive congratulations to all the athletes and coaches for representing Greendale with such excellence! We can't wait to see what they do next!

Good Afternoon College Park Families,

Please consider being a part of Greendale supporting Greendale this season! The district’s School Social Work Team has created a District Wide Giving Project - Sign-Up Genius to support our own community with needs and gifts this season. We encourage our own families and staff who are able to give back and participate in the district wide “Giving Tree”. Items will be going to our own school district families. If you would like to participate, please sign up here. Drop off any items you purchase to any of the schools main office to be given to the School Social Worker by December 16th, 2025. If you have any questions or concerns on this Giving Project, please contact College Park's Social Worker, destiny.turner@greendaleschools.org.

Thank you for your support!

A big thanks to Ms. Reinke and her staff at the Greendale Public Library who welcomed College Park first graders. The students walked to the Greendale Village to learn about our library and how many genres they can check out. Many kids can't wait to come back with their parents to check out a cool book! A big thanks also goes out to the Greendale Police Department for helping our students safely cross Loomis Road.

College Park students are enjoying the storywalk for Native American Heritage Month. Set up along the sidewalk that runs in front of the school, all are welcome to take a walk outside and enjoy the story! The book featured is "Dance Fast," written and illustrated by AR Cribbons who is a member of the Pomo tribe. It's a wonderful story that celebrates Pomo traditions and provides a good lesson about creativity and perfectionism. Thanks to the library team for creating this innovative way for us to celebrate. Come check it out!

In honor of World Kindness Day, Mrs. Korpal and Mrs. Novakovich's first grade students brought a special surprise to the College Park secretaries. The surprise was a bouquet of handmade flowers that each said something they appreciated about Mrs. Morrell and Mrs. Schwarzkopf. Gratitude expressed included:

"Thank you for your hard work."
"Thank you for helping when my belly hurts."
"Thank you for helping with my tooth."
"Thank you for helping me find my way."

Many more sentiments of appreciation were included in the bouquet. College Park's first graders were spreading kindness in a meaningful way!

For the third consecutive year, College Park fourth graders coordinated a sock drive in October. Creatively named "Socktober," these Panthers create announcements and deliver them to the school. Students set a goal to collect, count newly donated socks over the lunch hour, add them to the total, and determine the number of socks left to reach their goal. The donations are delivered to those in need through St. Ben's Community Meal Program and Capuchin Community Services, in partnership with St. Mary Parish in Hales Corners. This year, the fourth graders collected a total of 1,067 pairs of socks! To date, our students and families have donated 3,160 pairs for people in need.

Thanks to all who supported this project!
